I share your anger and grief. As a Canadian, i am not directly involved, but i am frustrated to stand there watching Putin destroy and kill without anyone really standing in his way. Out leaders of “the West” are calculating that “anything is better than having a Russian nuke dropped on my country”, and so they do what they can, but without risking escalation and direct war with Russia, which Putin made clear would translate to nuclear missiles. This includes a no-fly zone: the countries calling a no-fly zone would be nuked by Putin. This poses deep moral dilemmas. Do we defend principles (democracy, freedom, etc) or people? A deep and complex issue.
